Project on plants.Plants are some of the oldest organisms on the planet; their ancestry traces back more than five hundred million years. Between the time of the first flora appearing on earth and present day, much of the world’s history took place; the shaping of early continents, the formation of mountain ranges, a multitude of mass extinctions and radiations of new species which humans still have no documentation or knowledge of. For countless generations plants have been the eyes and ears of earth. With each seed that falls, or flower than is pollinated plants are securing their place as a constant on our planet and as a means of passing on the information they have gathered. Plants have the capability to interact with each other, some species ration water between each other’s roots, others dance playfully in unexplained ways as they grow. It’s interesting to conceive that plants have within their veins a deep history of interaction between their generations and that the oldest events on earth have some sort of trajectory across the genetic makeup of flora. joemelhuish.tumblr.com

This is a piece I made on Voyeurism for an exhibition in New York with the guys at ReVision arts. It’s about the destructive nature of being obsessively voyeuristic and the feelings of self dissatisfaction and guilt that go with it; specifically in relation to internet voyeurism.
